Here is what I overlooked prior to MNF.
Notice that San Francisco is named after a Spanish man and a member of the Catholic Church.

The QB for the Buccaneers, the 'pirate' team, is 'Winston', and he defeated the '33' year old QB Derek Anderson who was filling in for Cam Newton by the numbers. Of course the 33-year old Derek Anderson was born on a date with '33' numerology in the 33rd State, Oregon.
There's a reason we celebrate Christopher Columbus Day in October, the lone '33' month. Think about his name, CC, for Christophe Columbus, and another CC, for Catholic Church. CC = 33

What I wonder, is how much of the ambition for taking the Americas was GOLD. Of course the 49ers, who lost last Thursday, are named after the 1849 gold rush. Also, last year, the Panthers lost in the Super Bowl hosted by the 49ers, on February 7, the 38th day of the year.
