Do we need the Pope to sound the 'Environmental Alarm'?

Who gives a fuck what the Pope thinks?

All I need to do is look at my own neck of the woods, just as most people do.  Here in the Pacific Northwest none of the mountains opened for the ski season this past Fall and Winter because there was almost no snow fall.  Now, this spring, has already been hotter than our typical summers ever get.  Usually, it is in the sixties and raining on the daily, but this year, my front yard has been scorched earth since May due to the heat and drought, unprecedented in my lifetime, and my parent's lifetime.

Because of the lack of snowfall, the rivers are low and the water flow is weak.  This is terrible for the fish and animal life that is dependent on these routine acts of nature.  The decline of the planet is most apparent by viewing nature at this day in age.
