Both New York football teams lost on 11/1.
New York = 14+5+23+25+15+18+11 = 111
In this regard, I would say the New York teams fell on their number. Notice the Jets played out West and lost to Oakland, just across the Bay from where the World Series was won last year. This loss by the Jets comes on the date of Game 5 of the 111th World Series. The summed score of '54' is interesting for the following reason.
Baseball = 2+1+19+5+2+1+12+12 = 54
Another interesting note is the Gematria of 'Week Eight'.
Week = 23+5+5+11 = 44
Eight = 5+9+7+8+20 = 49
Week Eight = 93 (93 is an important number in New York as well...)
