Zebulon Pike, himself a hero of Freemasonry, was related to the younger Albert Pike through their English ancestor John Pike, who founded Woodbridge Township, one of the early settlements in New Jersey. Zebulon explored the west (Pike's Peak in Colorado is named after him,) spied on the Spanish, and died in the War of 1812. Dylan Thomas, the Welsh Poet, maybe most famous for the line "do not go quietly into that good night" may have noticed the irony that the apparent death of this football player, bearing his name, connects by association King George, the welsh king of England during the war of 1812 and the namesake of the state of Georgia, with the Knights Templar Pirates who looted much gold for use in cabalistic endeavors during colonial times, as well as the Colorado gold rush which followed in Zebulon Pike's freemasonic footsteps. Also, the team the Pike County Pirates were facing that fateful night was the Peach County Trojans.
