The United States has been involved in the first two World Wars, however the combat has never been felt on American soil, besides Hawaii, if you count Hawaii as "american soil". Speaking of Hawaii, Hawaii is the 50th state, coming after Alaska, the other oddball, number 49.
The movie World War Z is about the "zombie apocalypse", and as the movie shows, the United States of America is not a good place to be.

I've never read the book, but I saw the film a couple of years ago when a friend insisted. What I recall, is 'Israel' was the one nation in the world that had the jump on the virus, completing the wall around their nation the "day before" the outbreak began. Even still, their wall could not hold back what was to come, an important point to keep in mind.
Anyhow, think about how the Zionist Nation of Israel was recognized in the year 1947, on the date of November 29, emphasis on they ear '47. In World War Z, the zombies, or "turned humans", are referred to as Zekes throughout the film.

My point is not that we're all about to turn into zombies from zika, but that these people, are signing off on just about everything, putting it in people's faces, just like they do in the movie World War Z, where the viewer is told that Israel has knowledge no one else in the whole world did...
To make a point, yesterday a buddy of mine put on the show Rick and Morty and asked me to watch. It was a cartoon about a devil, masquerading as a man, selling people curses. There were many clever narratives from the storywriters. In the twenty some minute cartoon, only one number was shown, 47-3, with the three mostly off the screen. If you watch with open eyes, this number is everywhere. It isn't hard to see who put it there either. The "gang".

I have to wonder how real all those disease epidemics I had to get vaccinated against were. Did masses of people really die and if so how many of those might have been caused by mass hysteria? Since we are told viruses r invisible how much different is that from telling someone that they r infested with demons? We know from the placebo effect that belief is a powerful thing
