This post got me thinking about DC and all the 55s or 555s, and the other half of my brainbwas thinking about Kobes retirement tour which just passed thru the A last night. Any credence to Kobe being a symbol for the retirement of Washington?
Kobe had 10 years at number 8....
Then he has his masonic illumination scandal and he cubed himself...10 years at 24.
We go 8 + 24 for 32. Add the inverse for the 55.
Makes me think all these 55s tie back to DC and its upcoming resignation.
Just tossing noodles at the wall to see if they stick.
I think I am on to something. He is the History of Black America in Basketball form. Drafter 13 in 96, the 13 is for the 13 states and 96 is 1776, by Charlotte and almost immediately traded, or sold, to the Lakers. This is representative of a slave landing on the Carolina Coast and being sold at market.
Each year of his career is roughly 12.5 years of black history in America. He doesn't win his first championship until 2000, 4 years eguals 60 history years, and brings us to the 1850s. He and Shaq are now on the same team, so there's your civil war, and win the next three championships, or 37 or so history years. Shaq leaves and Kobe becomes the cornerstone of LA from here on out. 1850 to 1885 or so saw alot of positive movement for civil rights and Black Rights were the top political point, or the Champions of Politics. It was around 1875-1880 that segregation laws, Jim Crowes, all that junk really started kicking. Kobe wouldn't lead the Lakers backvto a championship for another 6 years or 75 US history years, which brings us to the 1950s.
Two more championships here for another 25 years of History. 1950-1975 one could argue were the most positive moves in Civil Rights, the movement itself began in 51 or so. That is as far as I have gotten with my overview. I don't think I'm seeing things here, he is the Black Mamba by the way.
Interesting to note he has no more championships, so no more big key moments for Black History until Obama wins the Presidency, which is right around the time that Kobe lead the league in scoring, so he was good, but not a Champion. Obama won, un other words, but has done a hprrible job.
Now, will Kobes retirement sync up with an Obama assination? The Lakers were the champs in 04 and 05 right there with Obama's golden years. Kobe, the 55, retires as Obama is taken out of Washington DC, 555. And Black America, America as a whole, is never the same.
8 for 10 years, 80 24 for 10 years, 240 That is 320 years Drafted in 1996-320
1676 This is the year of the Bacon Rebellion, the Declaration of Virginia, and the true start of the anti-colonial movement. It is also right around the time that blacks were no longer allowed to own their own slaves, had their rights stripped, and all blacks, landowners and slaves alike, became second hand citizens.
