31 127 | Tony De Lorenzi picks Los Angeles Dodgers to defeat Toronto Blue Jays in World Series 2016 +My feedback

http://losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com/schedule/?c_id=la#y=2016&m=5&calendar=DEFAULT

Tony pointed out the Dodgers 31st game of the season was @Toronto Blue Jays, May 6, 2016 (This is true, I counted myself).  It was a three game series, concluding May 8, the Dodgers 33rd game of the season.  The Dodgers won the World Series in '58, 58-years ago.  He also talked about how the phrase 'Dodgers win the World Series' sums to 127.  What he did not link, is how 127 is the 31st prime number.

*This year will be the 112th World Series.

If his pick is correct, I'll remember this correlation, with the schedule and a phrase such as 'This team wins championship'.

For now, I still like what is lining up for the Cubs.  I especially like that the NLCS between the Cubs and Dodgers is beginning at 7:08 pm or 19:08 military time.  The Cubs have not won the World Series since 1908.

Another thing, Tony is saying the Cubs will win next year.  I do agree, if the Cubs lose this year, they'll win next year, because then it will have been 108-seasons.

108 is the riddle, and the basis of my pick for them winning this year.

Also, if you missed my post on Dave Roberts, it adds to the intrigue:  http://freetofindtruth.blogspot.com/2016/10/42-57-108-147-181-dave-roberts-manager.html

That said, the Cubs manager has some connections going on as well:  http://freetofindtruth.blogspot.com/2016/10/54-81-106-joe-maddons-birthday-106-days.html

  1. re-comment from your roberts post.

Dave Roberts won a championship as a player on the 2004 Red Sox. Broke the Redsox curse. I'm sure this has something to do with the Cubs this year.

Dave Roberts father Waymon Roberts i believe he is 67 years old. Vin scully retires on his 67th year.

Roberts debut with the Cleveland Indians, that could be interesting...

Roberts managed the Padres 2011-15, funny how dodgers big game 5 series win and the Chargers winning lastnight.

Roberts also played for the Dodgers in 2002-2004.

Very interesting narratives here.. if his father is in fact age 67 and the Dodgers go on to win the World Series, possible Blood Sacrifice for his father?

    1. Last time Dodgers won world series in 88 (the year Kershaw was born) Orel Hershiser won MVP...after playing for the Dodgers he played for three teams before returning to the Dodgers to retire...

      Indians
      SF Giants
      Mets

Interesting that all 3 of these teams were in this years playoff and 2/3 have been sacrificed so far...he finished his career with Dodgers (maybe they will end on top)

  2. plus, this would be the 4th major sports championship to conclude in Cali if the Dodgers upset the Chubs. MLS season concludes at the end of this month as well.

    2. don't forget the 28 coding for Kershaw. age 28, last Dodgers title was 28 years ago in '88.

Seatgeek had a 'stat' that showed the average price for game 5 tickets was $137!

      Seetgeek = 223 J
      Seetgeek = 28 R

Died at age 88 in the October 22 1972

This year the Cubs honor him every home game. He started his career as a broadcaster In 1916.....100 years ago.

On October 22nd will be a NLCS game. He died 44 years ago.

    3. I notice the "42" can we game 6 for Cubs? 4+2=6

October 22 this month will be 42 years ago since pieper passed away. Dodgers aren't the only ones with "88"

    5. first game ever played in what is now Wrigley came on April 20th or 4/20, a lot like 42. they were coming back from a road trip that saw them have a 2-4 record afterwards.

    6. I also forgot to mention Vin Scully is 88 and was born in '27

27 outs per side or 27 outs needed to win

    7. how about this potential narrative:

Chubs giving a year long tribute to 88, in a sense, the year that 88 and 28 are super relevant to the Dodgers

      twenty eight = 57 = world series
twenty eight also = 156, the sacrifice prime

either way, one team is packing it in for the other and there's a narrative both ways with this set of numbers independent from the 108 Chubs coding.

    8. There is always a numerical narrative for both teams in a LCS, or any other championship game. Gets tough to call. Time to stick to your guns. Cubs in 5 or 6.

    9. word. I've been looking at the Dodgers this whole time followed by the Chubs next year

    11. April 20 is the 110th day of the year. If the Cubs defeat the Dodgers, it could come in Wrigley, and it would be their 110th win of the season.
      103+3+4 = 110
