31 57 65 144 | Chicago Cubs defeat San Francisco Giants in NLDS, October 11, 2016

Remember, there is a ritual in place, connecting to 'Florida'.  The Cubs have history with a ball club from that state, so do the Indians.

The Cubs number this season from documentation is '94'.  How about 4 runs in the 9th?

31 at bats to win the Series 3-1.

I love that the Giants had a 144 total pitches.

Based on who the Cubs were starting today, and their trajectory for the World Series, I was pretty sure they would be advancing in this game.  Today is October 11, 2016, and Lackey was the starter for the Cubs.

10/11/2016 = 10+11+20+16 = 57

Today's date came 191-days from the start of the MLB season.

  1. NLDS = 13

Giants 10 straight wins in elimination games

    ten = 39

I only caught that stat earlier today while checking out in line at the store. I was thinking NY Giants connections when I saw it. 10, 13, 39

  3. It would just seem too coincidental for two Cleveland teams to possibly win a championship in the same year. And you kind of have to look at star power, I know the Blue Jays are a Canadian team, but you have to look at who has the most star power, or at least guys that will entertain you with how they play. The Blue Jays have pitching and guys who hit a lot of homeruns. The Indians have half their pitchers injured, and they play small ball. I know it's about numbers, but you have to think about what would draw money. I also know Cleveland swept Boston, but with how the Indians look with their injuries if they were to beat Toronto the elite might as well tell you before the series starts that this is rigged, and you are basically giving the Cubs the world series title with how injured the Indians are right now. Both Toronto and Cleveland are on a roll, but it would just be so American to take out the Canadian team because they are not American. And even if these athletes are actors the Blue Jays just look like the better team. It was also like this in the NBA but the cavs had the star power and talent to win the series.

    2. like Crosby doing his thing? his first Stanley Cup was followed by the Olympic gold, at USA's expense (Miller time anyone???)

recall the Carolina connections in all major sports championships in the last cycle of big games - Panthers, UNC, Coastal Carolina, Clemson, Curry. also, every single pro sports championship in 2016 has concluded in Cali - NHL, NBA, NFL - this is one reason I'm looking at LA to rep the NL this year but remember, this gang likes to have the 'one off' mentality. think of the broken penatagram in DC's layout amongst other examples.

    3. Draw money? What better way to get a chance to see Two Cleveland teams win a championship in the same year? That's my thought.

    4. Florida won NCAA football and basketball in 2006.

KU won NCAA title and Orange Bowl in 2008

Kentucky, Louisville back to back 2012/2013

Alabama Auburn won it from 2009-2012

      SEC went '06-'12 football champs

still think one year, two teams from the same city is far fetched? 2004 Patriots and Red Sox???

    5. I'm wondering if we're gonna see a 1906 parallel where the Cubs set the wins record but got beat the White Sox known as the "hitless wonders" after a team batting average of .230 - worst in the AL.

of course the Chubs went to win the next two en route to their drought. 110 years later, we shall see.

    8. I'm thinking Cleveland might be too obvious, plus they have injuries that will probably give them trouble in a seven game series rather than a five. Plus there is the duality thing to make it come full circle by having Toronto win. And I'm not too sure about Cleveland drawing money because their own fans barely had shown up to games this season like in Baltimore, a team that Toronto beat to get to this point. I'm not really sure which way this will go because the numbers can be all over the place making it possible for anything to happen.

  4. Zack I know you are picking the cubs, but I want to hit you with this. I went to sleep but called a 6-5 win for cubs before hand. remember this was the same score in the dodgers game, the dodgers won the 1965 world series beating the Minnesota twins. I still feel that the dodgers are going to win this thing.

  5. 191 (43rd prime) 43 - Champion.

Obviously this doesn't mean they will win the whole thing but it often connects to the team being in the championship match at least.

Think its clear the cubs will be at the world series this year.

    2. That is a great observation and I think the '42' will show strong.

    3. The Chargers coach is looking for his 24th win. His win percentage is .442, Chargers record will be 2-4 after a win. Denver record will be 4-2 with a loss from the Chargers.

    4. That's quite the line up.

If the Colts win this Sunday to become 3-3, that will be 3 consecutive prime time games where the underdog wins money line.

  12. Another narrative for cubs versus Indians is two former Red Sox employees terry Francona versus the golden chosen one Theo "55 million" Epstein.

    1. Baseball used to go with the slogan "You Can't Script October".

      You Can't Script October = 2206 (226), 91

Gotta love how they mock. All of October is scripted in the MLB lol.
