August 4, 2012: Summer Olympics Gold Medal Ceremony Revisited

In anticipation of the Winter Olympics of 2014, let us revisit the "falling flag" incident of the 2012 Olympic Summer Games, in which the flag of the United States fell from the rafters during the Women's Tennis Ceremony, when Serena Williams was being presented the Gold Medal.  The flag dropped exactly after the portion of the song where the words would be sung, "That our flag was still there."  The date of the incident was August 4, 2012, the same date of Barack Obama's birthday.  Ask yourself, do you believe in coincidences?

August 4, 2014, will be President Obama's 53rd birthday, and the Jewish Holiday, the 9th Day of Av, a holiday commemorating the destruction of the two Jewish temples and other Jewish related tragedies.  Perhaps more than the flag will fall for the United States on this date, and the 2012 flag falling incident was symbolic foreshadowing.
