CNN's map of nations still living under a Monarch (Japan might end theirs)

There's clearly some major omissions.  Donald coming out to Queen?  I rest my case.

  1. I'm not totally convinced U.S. shouldn't also be red. From all I've read, we are still beholden to The Crown.

  2. Most of that map is gray. So, I guess Gray Aliens rule the world along with Queen Elizabeth and the rest are wax dummies/stock photos known as "figureheads" wink wink.
That's what it looks like to me anyway.

    1. You're probably right. Any colors are just to confuse things and to lend aesthetics. :)

  3. I like hoe they have "true rulers" at the top in green, then the "queen" at the bottom with no comment even though red is predominate. Everyone thinks she is just an "old tradition" without any power. The whole idea of "monarchy" is historic and horrific. They really focus the P.R. campaign on that family trying so hard to white wash them. Therefore they must have considerable power.

    1. They should also do a map on what countries are corporations and who has interest in those corporations. It would probably come out as all one colour.

  4. Coronation Street is the daytime soap opera, the Royal families tabloid antics are the Airron Spelling Dynasty version that the media pretends is real.
If there is a real Queen she probably pays that actress to portray her "face" and live in the tourist castle so that she could live quietly behind the scenes unbothered by the rubes and boring bullshit.
That's what I would do anyway. Why wouldn't you? Shit, I'd l program a hologram to wave to the masses and carry the Fuddy duddy purse while I slipped out the back.
